The Concept2 RowErg with Tall Legs is a professional-grade indoor rowing machine featuring an elevated frame that positions the seat at approximately 51 cm (20 inches) above floor level. The raised seat height provides easier mounting and dismounting, making it well suited to users who prefer a higher seated position, including those with limited mobility.

Apart from the frame height and larger transport wheels, the Tall Legs model shares the same flywheel, monorail, drive system and PM5 performance monitor as the standard RowErg, delivering an identical rowing experience and workout data.

Resistance System

The RowErg employs a flywheel-based air resistance system in which resistance increases in direct proportion to the force applied by the user. This dynamic response accommodates all fitness levels without the need for preset resistance settings. An adjustable damper located on the flywheel housing regulates airflow, allowing users to modify the stroke feel to match their training requirements.

PM5 Performance Monitor

The PM5 monitor records and displays the following metrics in real time:

• Distance and elapsed time
• Stroke rate (strokes per minute)
• Power output (watts)
• Calories
• Pace per 500 m (split time)

The monitor includes five user programmes, supporting fixed and variable interval workouts based on time or distance. Heart rate monitoring is available with a compatible Bluetooth or ANT+ chest strap (sold separately). Workout data can be transferred to the Concept2 ErgData app and stored in the Concept2 Online Logbook for long-term performance tracking. The monitor is mounted on an adjustable arm for optimal viewing.

Construction and Ergonomics

The machine is built on an aluminium monorail with a stainless steel seat track, providing a stable and consistent glide. The handle connects to the flywheel via a nickel-plated chain for long-term durability. An ergonomically angled handle promotes a natural grip and wrist position, while adjustable foot stretchers with retaining straps ensure a secure and correctly aligned stance throughout each stroke.

Storage and Transport

The RowErg separates into two components without the use of tools, enabling compact upright storage when not in use. Larger front caster wheels allow the machine to be moved with ease by lifting the rear of the frame.

Installation Requirements

A minimum floor area of 274 cm x 122 cm (9 ft x 4 ft) is recommended during operation. The machine accommodates users with an inseam of up to approximately 96.5 cm (38 in) and a maximum user weight of 135 kg. Minimal assembly is required.
